Best Gadgets for travelling

If you are an avid traveler, you know how important it is to make sure that you have the right gadgets. Most people tend to think that they will need to have the latest devices out there to enjoy their trip but this is certainly not the case. There are only a few tech gadgets that you will need to have a great time but they will certainly give you the best chance at having a smooth trip. Here are some of the top tech gadgets that you need to have on your next trip.
Cell Phone
There really is nothing more important than a cell phone when you are out in a different country or state. You will have all the important phone numbers in your phone and this is important if there was an emergency. The next thing that you would need a cell phone for is the GPS capabilities that they have. This is very important if you are in a place that you are not familiar with. Besides holding your phone numbers and being a great GPS device, you will be able to enjoy the various apps on the phone as well.
A Tablet
Tablets have been getting a lot of fame lately and there certainly are a few reasons why. Most people will look at them and deem them to be too big or too bulky but this is not the case. Since they are not phones, they do not have to be miniature. They are mainly for browsing the internet and reading e-books. If you are going to fly on a plane, it is very important that you have a tablet with you to ensure that you are not bored during your trip. This is very important and will help make your trip more enjoyable and easier to organize.
Camera
Though you might have a camera on your phone, it is highly recommended that you bring your own.

iPod
This is also a highly recommended device as you will need to have music wherever you go. iPod touches now have the capabilities to connect to the internet and this is also a big benefit.
GPS

Remember that you will be in an unfamiliar place and it is important to use a GPS device to find your way around.
If you are able to have all of these things, you will be guaranteed to have all that you need on your next trip. Invest in these three things and your trip will definitely be a blast.

Apple MacBook Air gets update

What some deem to be the world’s thinnest notebook (some Apple haters still claim that this is a netbook, although I am inclined to disagree with that assessment even though I am not an Apple fanboy) has just gotten better – and just in case you were wondering how that is possible, why don’t you keep on reading? I’m sure you might even end up looking forward to get hold of the new MacBook Air eventually.
Not only does the updated MacBook Air come with next generation processors, it will also be able to handle high-speed data transmissions thanks to the inclusion of the new Thunderbolt I/O technology, in addition to a backlit keyboard to let you work late into the night without any light in the background, and Mac OS X Lion doing the brunt of the work to keep everything together – software-wise, of course.
Since it runs on “the worlds most advanced operating system”, you can be sure that the MacBook Air is no pushover unlike the first generation model. Apple claims that it is able to deliver up to twice the performance of its predecessor, the new MacBook Air will start from $999 upwards, depending on the kind of specifications and hardware that you decide to cram inside.
Just like the previous generation, the new MacBook Air will come in 11″ and 13″ models, and they will retain their extremely thin profile so that you can slip it into a briefcase, purse or bag in a jiffy. Just make sure you don’t throw it out of the house by accident after hiding it in between a stack of old newspapers! Boasting of a durable aluminum unibody enclosure that measures an incredibly thin 0.11″ at its thinnest point, you won’t find any hard drives inside this puppy so that the thin profile can be maintained.
Instead, the MacBook Air relies on flash memory to help it be able to turn on instantly while delivering fast data access, improved reliability and better energy efficiency. If you are feeling flush and want the “best” model, then be prepared to fork out $1,599 for the 1.7 GHz 13″ MacBook Air that has 4GB RAM and 256GB of flash storage – how does that sound to you?
Apple, the Apple logo, Mac, Mac OS, Macintosh, MacBook Air, FaceTime, FireWire, Multi-Touch, App Store, iTunes, Time Capsule, Apple Store and SuperDrive are trademarks of Apple. Other company and product names may be trademarks of their respective owners.

Google opens a Zazzle Google Doodle webstore

Google's Doodles attract attention whenever the Internet giant "erects" one on its homepage, but now you, too, can attract attention with Google's Doodles: the company has created its own Zazzle webstore, one that sells Google Doodle-related merchandise.

Zazzle is an online retailer that allows users to create merchandise using uploaded image of their own, or images from participating companies. Users can also create merchandise of their own to sell in their own webstores.

As a perk, and just in time for the holiday season, the Zazzle Google Doodle store has a special 20 percent off sale.

Among the items you can buy at the store are T- shirts, cards, posters, bumper stickers, mugs, stamps, bags, and much more.

In addition, Google has launched a revamped version of its Doodle site. The new version makes searching for a specific Doodle much easier. Considering that the site currently includes a over 1,000 static and animated Doodles, easier searching is much needed.

Naturally, you won't see any of those animated Doodles (e.g. 12) animated on, say, a T-shirt or mug, but hey, you can't have everything.
